Letroz 2.5 Tablet is used to treat hormone-sensitive breast cancer in women who have been through the menopause, including early and advanced disease and following tamoxifen therapy.
It contains letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of oestrogen the body makes, which slows the growth of hormone-sensitive breast cancer.
Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it without specialist advice. Attend all monitoring appointments, including bone density and cholesterol checks.
Tell your doctor about any osteoporosis, liver problems or history of blood clots before starting. Women who could still become pregnant must use effective contraception, as this medicine can harm an unborn baby. Report unusual bone pain, visual changes or symptoms of depression.
