Leon 500 Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary system, and soft tissues.

Uses of Leon 500 Tablet are:

• Respiratory and Sinus Infections: Treats pneumonia, bronchitis, and acute sinusitis.
• Urinary, Prostate, and Skin Infections: Manages urinary tract infections, chronic bacterial prostatitis, soft-tissue infections, and reduces anthrax risk.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Leon 500 Tablet is taken orally.

Leon 500 Tablet contains the following component

• Levofloxacin (500 mg): It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that penetrates bacterial cells. It targets DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which are critical for bacterial DNA replication, repair, and recombination. Levofloxacin binds to these enzymes and disrupts their function. This inhibition prevents bacterial DNA from unwinding and replicating correctly. Levofloxacin induces breaks in the bacterial DNA strands by interfering with DNA processes. The DNA damage hinders bacterial growth and reproduction. As a result, the bacteria become unable to multiply and spread.

• Leon 500 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Leon 500 Tablet may bind to calcium-containing foods and dairy products. To ensure optimal medication absorption, avoid consuming dairy products within two hours before or after taking the tablet.
• Ensuring proper hygiene is crucial.
• Incorporate fibre-rich foods into your diet as they are easily digested by your gut bacteria, promoting their growth. This can aid in restoring a healthy balance of gut bacteria following a course of antibiotics.
