Lacosmile 150 Tablet 10 is used for the following conditions:

• Treatment of partial-onset seizures in adults

• Managing focal seizures in adults

• Control of epilepsy as add-on therapy

• Reducing the frequency of seizures

• Decreasing the severity of seizures

• Supporting patients with medicine-resistant epilepsy

• Stabilising hyperexcitable neuronal membranes

• Managing seizures in combination with other medicines

• Controlling seizure activity in the brain

Follow these instructions while taking Lacosmile 150 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take Lacosmile 150 Tablet 10 at the same time each day to maintain consistent medicine levels.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

• If you have any concerns about using this medicine, consult your doctor.

Lacosmile 150 Tablet 10 contains lacosamide (150 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Stabilises Hyperexcitable Neuronal Membranes: Lacosamide helps calm overactive nerve cells in your brain that can trigger seizures, making these cells less likely to fire abnormally.

• Enhances Slow Inactivation of Voltage-gated Sodium Channels: This medicine selectively affects special channels (voltage-gated sodium channels) in your brain cells that control electrical signals, helping to prevent the rapid, uncontrolled firing of neurons that leads to seizures.

• Inhibits Repetitive Neuronal Firing: By regulating electrical activity in brain cells, lacosamide reduces the repeated, excessive firing of neurons that occurs during seizures.

• Store Lacosmile 150 Tablet 10 at room temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place.

• Keep the tablet in its original packaging until it's time to take it.

• Protect from light and moisture exposure.
