Lacoset 200 Tablet is used to control partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged four years and above with epilepsy. It is a single-ingredient anticonvulsant medicine containing lacosamide.
It can be used as a single medicine or with other antiepileptic treatments. Take it at the same time each day, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this may increase the risk of seizures.
Keep a regular sleep routine, avoid alcohol and attend regular neurological check-ups. Take care with driving until seizures are well controlled.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, heart rhythm problems, or kidney or liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report palpitations, fainting or mood changes. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
