Kerosite DT Tablet is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain, including pain after surgery or dental procedures and acute muscle and bone pain. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ketorolac tromethamine, and belongs to a class of medicines called NSAIDs.
This medicine works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation. Disperse the dispersible tablet in a small amount of water before swallowing, as directed by your doctor. It is for short-term use only, usually not more than 5 days.
Taking the medicine after meals or with milk helps protect the stomach lining from irritation. Drink enough fluids while taking it to support your kidneys.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, bleeding in the digestive system, asthma, a serious heart condition or kidney disease, or if you take blood thinners. It is not recommended in late pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor right away if you notice black tarry stools, severe stomach pain or swelling.
