This capsule should be swallowed whole, preferably right after a full meal, as food helps the body absorb the medicine better. Take it for the complete duration advised by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve early, so that the infection is fully cleared.
For skin and nail infections, keeping the affected area clean and dry can help the medicine work better and lower the chance of the infection returning. Wearing breathable footwear and cotton clothing may also help if the infection affects the feet or skin folds.
Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, heart failure, or are taking other medicines, as itraconazole can interact with several medicines. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual tiredness, or swelling of the legs and ankles. Avoid use during pregnancy unless specifically advised by your doctor.
