Imdur 30 Tablet PR is used to prevent and manage chest pain (angina) caused by coronary artery disease. It belongs to a group of medicines called nitrates, which relax and widen the blood vessels so that blood flows more easily to the heart.
By improving blood flow and reducing the heart's workload, it helps reduce how often angina attacks happen and how severe they are. It is a prolonged-release (PR) tablet intended for long-term prevention, and is not used to relieve a sudden angina attack. It is taken by mouth as prescribed and should not be stopped suddenly.
