Ibandzonic 150 Tablet is a medicine used to treat and prevent osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women. It helps strengthen bones, increase bone density, and lower the risk of spine and hip fractures.
It contains ibandronic acid, a bisphosphonate that slows down bone loss. Take this tablet as prescribed on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water. Do not lie down or eat for at least 60 minutes after taking it to ensure proper absorption and protect your food pipe.
Maintaining adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D through diet or supplements supports bone health alongside this medicine. Gentle, weight-bearing exercise such as walking can also help maintain bone strength.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney problems, low blood calcium levels, or difficulty swallowing or standing upright. Inform your doctor if you plan to undergo any dental procedures while taking this medicine.
