It contains halobetasol propionate, a potent topical corticosteroid that suppresses the local immune response responsible for skin inflammation and irritation. It is effective in conditions that require a stronger steroid for adequate symptom control.
Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry, affected skin only, as directed by your doctor. Use the smallest amount needed to control symptoms and avoid applying to the face, groin, or skin folds unless specifically instructed. Do not use for longer than prescribed.
Mild burning, itching, or redness at the site of application may occur and usually fade as the skin adjusts. Prolonged use without medical supervision can lead to skin thinning. Tell your doctor about any skin infections or other ongoing conditions before use.
