Gudcef DS Drop is an antibiotic routinely given to young children to treat a variety of bacterial infections affecting the ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract and urinary tract. It contains cefixime, a cephalosporin antibiotic.
Cefixime works by stopping bacteria from building their protective cell wall, which kills the bacteria and clears the infection, helping relieve associated symptoms in young children.
Give these drops to your child using the dropper provided, at the dose your doctor prescribes based on your child's age and weight, with or without food, and complete the full course even if your child feels better early.
tell your child's doctor if your child has a known allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins. Report persistent loose motions (diarrhoea) or a rash developing during treatment.
