CompositionGudcef 200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues. It helps relieve symptoms such as fever, pain, redness, and swelling associated with these infections.
It contains cefpodoxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic. Take the tablet exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you feel better before it is finished. Stopping early can allow the infection to return and may contribute to antibiotic resistance.
Staying well hydrated and resting during the course of treatment can support recovery. Avoid self-medicating with antibiotics and do not use this medicine for viral infections such as colds or flu.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney problems, a history of allergic reactions to penicillin or other antibiotics, or are taking other medicines. If you experience severe loose motions (diarrhoea) during or after treatment, tell your doctor, as this may require attention. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
