Glycopress 2ml Pack Of 5 Respules are used for the following:

• Long-term maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

• Management of chronic bronchitis symptoms

• Control of emphysema-related breathing difficulties

Follow these instructions while using Glycopress 2ml Pack Of 5 Respules:

• Pour the contents of one transpule into a standard jet nebuliser.

• Connect the nebuliser to an air compressor before use.

• Sit upright in a comfortable position during nebulisation.

• Breathe normally through the mouthpiece until all medicine is used.

• Rinse your mouth with water after each use to reduce dry mouth.

• Clean the nebuliser according to the manufacturer's instructions.

• Store unused transpules in their original foil pouch.

Glycopress 2ml Pack Of 5 Respules are administered via inhalation using a standard jet nebuliser.

Glycopress 2ml Pack Of 5 Respules contain Glycopyrrolate (25 mcg), which works on the body as follows:

• Muscarinic receptor antagonism: Glycopyrrolate acts as a competitive antagonist at muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in your airways. This means it blocks the action of a chemical called acetylcholine that causes your airway muscles to tighten.

• Bronchodilation: By blocking the muscarinic receptors, particularly the M3 receptors in the smooth muscle of the airways, glycopyrrolate prevents the airway muscles from contracting. This helps to open up the airways, making it easier to breathe.

• Reduced mucus secretion: Glycopyrrolate helps decrease mucus production in the airways by blocking the action of acetylcholine on mucus-producing glands. This can help reduce congestion and improve airflow.

• Long-acting effect: The medicine provides a sustained bronchodilatory effect, helping to maintain open airways throughout the day when used as prescribed.

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep protected from light and excessive heat.

• Remove transpules from the foil pouch only immediately before use.

• Keep out of the reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you smoke, consider stopping, as smoking worsens chronic obstructive pulmonary disease symptoms and reduces the effectiveness of your breathing medicines. Smoking damages your airways and makes breathing difficulties worse.

• Drinking plenty of water (at least 8 glasses daily) helps thin mucus in your airways, making it easier to breathe when you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
