Glura MP 500 Tablet is used to manage Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.

• Store the medicine in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.

• If you have mild kidney problems, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while on this medicine.

Glura MP 500 Tablet is taken orally.

Glura MP 500 Tablet contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood glucose levels:

• Metformin (500 mg): Acts by decreasing glucose production in the liver, reducing intestinal glucose absorption, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and utilisation in the body's tissues.

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): Functions as a PPAR-γ agonist (a substance that activates a specific receptor in cells) that improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat tissues and inhibits hepatic gluconeogenesis, which is the process of making new glucose in the liver.

• Sitagliptin (100 mg): Works as a DPP-4 inhibitor that prevents the breakdown of incretin hormones, thereby increasing insulin release from the pancreas and reducing glucagon (a hormone that raises blood sugar) production in a glucose-dependent manner.

• Store Glura MP 500 Tablet in a tightly closed container at temperature below 30°C.

• Keep away from direct light and moisture.

• Maintain a consistent meal schedule with limited refined carbohydrates (like white bread and sweets) to help keep your blood glucose levels stable throughout the day.
