Sitahenz Pm Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Control of high blood sugar when single therapy fails

• Comprehensive glycemic control through multiple pathways

• Addressing insulin resistance in patients with diabetes

• Controlling both fasting and after-meal blood sugar levels

• Supporting diet and exercise in diabetes management

Follow these instructions while taking Sitahenz Pm Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet, as this affects the sustained release.

• Take this medicine with meals to reduce stomach discomfort.

• Maintain a consistent time each day for taking your medicine.

Sitahenz Pm Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Sitahenz Pm Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood glucose levels:

• Sitagliptin (100 mg): Inhibits an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4), which preserves incretin hormones that stimulate insulin release when blood sugar levels are high and reduce glucagon production, particularly after meals.

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): Acts as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) agonist, which means it enhances insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat tissues while reducing glucose production in the liver.

• Metformin (500 mg): Reduces glucose production in the liver, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, helping lower blood sugar without directly stimulating insulin release.
