Gluconorm Vg 1 Forte Tablet 15 is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Gluconorm Vg 1 Forte Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine with meals.

Gluconorm Vg 1 Forte Tablet 15 contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Metformin (1000 mg): This reduces glucose production by the liver, decreases glucose absorption from the intestines, and improves insulin sensitivity in body tissues like muscles. It activates an enzyme called AMP-kinase that plays an important role in cellular metabolism.

• Glimepiride (1 mg): This component stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin. It binds to specific receptors on pancreatic beta cells, which closes potassium channels and triggers the release of insulin into the bloodstream.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): This works by inhibiting enzymes in the small intestine that break down carbohydrates. By delaying carbohydrate digestion and absorption, it helps reduce spikes in blood glucose levels after meals.
