Gentalab Injection 30ml is used to treat:

• Serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Respiratory tract infections, including certain bacterial lung infections
• Bloodstream and abdominal infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Skin, soft tissue, bone, and joint infections caused by bacteria

Follow these instructions while receiving Gentalab Injection 30ml:

• This injection should be administered only by a healthcare professional.
• The injection may be given into a muscle or vein as advised by your doctor.
• Complete the full course of antibiotic treatment even if symptoms improve earlier.
• Inform your doctor immediately if you develop hearing problems, severe diarrhoea, or reduced urination during treatment.

Gentalab Injection 30ml is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

Gentalab Injection 30ml contains the following ingredients:

• Gentamicin (40 mg): It is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that helps kill susceptible bacteria by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis. This leads to bacterial cell death and helps eliminate susceptible bacteria from the body.
• Methyl Paraben (0.18%): It acts as a preservative to help maintain product stability and prevent microbial contamination during storage.
• Propyl Paraben (0.02%): It is used as a preservative to help prevent microbial contamination and maintain product stability.

• Store Gentalab Injection 30ml below 25°C.
• Protect from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
• Do not freeze unless advised on the packaging.
• Store in the original packaging until use.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• Maintain adequate hydration unless your doctor has advised fluid restriction, as proper fluid intake may help support kidney function during bacterial infections.
