Gemer P2 Tablet 10

Gemer P2 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes to manage blood sugar levels, working alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise to prevent long-term complications.

Uses of Gemer P2 Tablet are:

• Blood Sugar Control: Improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose release from the liver.
• Diabetes Management: Supports long-term glycaemic control alongside diet and exercise.
• Complication Prevention: Helps lower the risk of diabetes-related nerve, kidney, and eye problems.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water during your meal.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Never discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Gemer P2 Tablet is taken orally.

Gemer P2 Tablet consists of three components:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This ingredient is a sulfonylurea class medicine. It encourages your pancreas to produce more insulin, a hormone that helps control blood sugar levels. Additionally, it makes body tissues more responsive to insulin, so they can absorb glucose from your bloodstream more effectively.
• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin acts on the liver and reduces its production of glucose. Also, it improves the sensitivity of body tissues towards insulin which aids in better absorption of glucose. The extended-release formulation ensures a gradual release of metformin, resulting in fewer gastrointestinal side effects compared to immediate-release forms.
• Pioglitazone (15 mg): As a thiazolidinedione, pioglitazone increases the sensitivity of muscle and fat cells towards insulin and decreases glucose output from the liver. It works by activating a certain regulator protein in the body known as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), which helps control glucose and fat metabolism.

• Store Gemer P2 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.
• Avoid exposure to excess heat and moisture.
• Keep the medicine in a safe place, out of the reach of children.
