CompositionFCN-400 Tablet is used to treat serious fungal infections, including thrush of the mouth and food pipe, cryptococcal meningitis and systemic Candida infections such as candidaemia and disseminated candidiasis. It is also used to prevent fungal infection in people having a bone marrow transplant.
It contains fluconazole, a triazole antifungal. It works by blocking the production of a key part of the fungal cell membrane, which stops the fungus growing.
Take it exactly as prescribed and for the full duration advised, even if symptoms disappear early.
Because it can affect the liver and, rarely, the heart rhythm, tell your doctor about any liver disease or heart rhythm problems before starting, and report dark urine, yellowing of the eyes or palpitations.
