Faronem 200 Tablet is used for the following purposes:

• Managing respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, chronic bronchitis flare-ups, and severe sinusitis.

• Controlling urinary tract infections such as cystitis and kidney infections.

• Handling skin and soft tissue infections like cellulitis, abscesses, and wound infections.

• Dealing with gynaecological infections such as pelvic inflammatory disease and post-birth uterine inflammation.

Faronem 200 Tablet contains faropenem (200 MG) which acts on the body in the following way:

• Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis: Faropenem works by blocking certain enzymes known as penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). These are essential for creating the bacterial cell wall.

• Causes bacterial cell lysis and death: When faropenem disrupts cell wall synthesis by inhibiting PBPs, it triggers a process called lysis in bacterial cells. This is essentially the breaking down or destruction of a cell which results in its death. This helps in effectively managing the infection.

• Store Faronem 200 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep this medication in a closed container, shielded from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure that Faronem 200 Tablet is kept safely out of reach of children.
