Esoga-RD Capsule is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults. It helps reduce the backflow of stomach acid into the food pipe, relieving symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. Regular use improves acid control and reduces irritation of the esophagus.

Esoga-RD Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): This ingredient acts as a dopamine-receptor antagonist with antiemetic and gastroprokinetic properties. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in certain areas of your body, like the chemoreceptor trigger zone and gastrointestinal tract. This leads to increased activity in the stomach and duodenum, relaxation of certain muscle structures, enhanced gastric emptying without stimulating other secretions, and prevention of nausea and vomiting.

• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, rabeprazole reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting an enzyme system within the gastric parietal cells. Through this action, it decreases the total volume of gastric juice, lowers hydrogen ion concentration and diminishes pepsin secretion.
