Erdostyne Capsule 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antibiotics (e.g., penicillins, cephalosporins): Erdosteine may increase the concentration of some antibiotics, particularly amoxicillin and clarithromycin in bronchial secretions when taken together.
• Other mucolytics (e.g., acetylcysteine): Combined use may further increase mucus thinning; use together only if advised by a doctor.

Erdostyne Capsule 10 should be used with caution if you have certain medical conditions:

• Stomach ulcers or peptic ulcer disease: Erdostyne Capsule 10 may occasionally cause mild stomach discomfort or irritation. If you have a history of ulcers, your doctor may monitor your symptoms more closely and recommend taking the medicine with food.
• Severe liver impairment: The liver metabolises Erdostyne Capsule 10 into its active form. If your liver function is compromised, the effectiveness and safety of the medicine may be affected, and your doctor may adjust your therapy or monitor liver function.
• Severe kidney impairment: Kidney health may influence the excretion of Erdostyne Capsule 10 metabolites. In patients with kidney disease, your doctor may monitor kidney function and adjust treatment as needed.

Take Erdostyne Capsule 10 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The appropriate dose, frequency, and duration are determined based on your condition, severity of symptoms, and overall health. Do not adjust the dose or stop taking the medicine on your own, even if your symptoms improve.

Taking more than the prescribed amount may increase the risk of side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or abdominal discomfort. If an overdose is suspected, seek medical help immediately.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
