Epidosin Injection used to relieve pain and spasms in smooth muscles, such as those in the intestines, cervix, and urinary tract. It's commonly given for conditions like menstrual cramps, post-operative pain, gastrointestinal spasms, and to facilitate cervical dilation during labor. The medication works by blocking acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes muscle contractions, thereby relaxing the muscles.
Beyond its primary use, this injection is also beneficial for managing painful menstruation known as dysmenorrhoea, post-operative pain, intestinal spasms, gastrointestinal spasms, gallbladder stones or biliary colic and helps in cervical dilation during labour. It effectively eases out muscle stiffness and improves muscle movement significantly.
