Efonta 40 Tablet is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Efonta 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• You can take this tablet with or without food.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

Efonta 40 Tablet contains efonidipine (40 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Calcium Channel Blocking: Efonidipine blocks special channels (openings) on the surface of cells that allow calcium to enter. By preventing calcium from entering the muscle cells of your blood vessels, it helps them relax.

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: By relaxing and widening your blood vessels (a process called vasodilation), efonidipine reduces the resistance against which your heart must pump blood.

• Reduced Peripheral Resistance: Through its action on blood vessels throughout your body, this medicine decreases what doctors call 'peripheral vascular resistance', making it easier for blood to flow.

• Decreased Cardiac Workload: By widening blood vessels and improving blood flow, efonidipine reduces the load on your heart, which helps protect your cardiovascular system.

• Store Efonta 40 Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Dispose of unused or expired tablets according to local regulations.
