Dorzox Eye Drops are used to lower raised eye pressure in adults with open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension, helping to protect the optic nerve and help reduce the risk of long-term vision loss.

Uses of Dorzox Eye Drops are:

• Ocular Hypertension: Reduces abnormally raised pressure inside the eye to help reduce the risk of damage to the optic nerve.
• Open-angle Glaucoma: Helps manage the most common form of glaucoma by lowering intraocular pressure and helping to slow the progression of vision loss.
• Optic Nerve Protection: Regular use helps maintain stable eye pressure and helps reduce the risk of long-term damage to the optic nerve.

Here's how you should use Dorzox Eye Drops :

• Always wash your hands before using the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above your eye, squeeze out one drop, and close your eye.

• Apply gentle pressure to the corner of your eye (near your nose) for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining out.

• Do not touch the tip of the dropper or let it touch your eye or any other surface.

• If you're using more than one type of eye medication, wait at least 10 minutes before putting in the next medicine.

Dorzox Eye Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Dorzolamide (2%): As a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, dorzolamide operates by reducing the production of aqueous humour in the eye. It achieves this by inhibiting an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase II located in the ciliary processes within your eye. This action consequently decreases the production of bicarbonate ions which ultimately leads to a reduction in fluid transport and secretion of aqueous humour. The overall effect is a significant decrease in intraocular pressure.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.0075%): This component acts as a preservative, ensuring the longevity of the medicine.

• Store Dorzox Eye Drops at room temperature, below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light.

• Ensure to tightly close the bottle after each use to prevent exposure to air.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• For managing open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, regular exercise is beneficial. Try walking, jogging, or yoga which may help lower eye pressure.

• Maintain a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, particularly leafy greens. They contain nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin which are good for eye health. However, always consult your doctor before making significant dietary changes.
