Dorsun Bak Free Eye Drops 5Ml

DORSUN BAK FREE EYE DROPS 5ML are used for the following:

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Reducing elevated intraocular pressure

• Treating ocular hypertension

• Controlling eye pressure when beta-blockers are not enough

• Supporting patients with sensitive eyes

• Providing therapy for those intolerant to preservatives

• Helping patients requiring long-term glaucoma management

• Preventing progressive optic nerve damage

• Maintaining healthy eye pressure levels

• Supporting combination therapy for inadequate pressure control

Follow these instructions while using DORSUN BAK FREE EYE DROPS 5ML:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the bottle above your eye without touching any part of your eye.

• Put one drop into the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor.

• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes.

• Press lightly on the inner corner of your eye to prevent drainage.

• Wait at least five minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.

DORSUN BAK FREE EYE DROPS 5ML are instilled topically.

DORSUN BAK FREE EYE DROPS 5ML contain dorzolamide (2%), which works in your eye as follows:

• Inhibits carbonic anhydrase: Dorzolamide blocks the enzyme carbonic anhydrase II in the eye's ciliary processes, which are specialised tissues that produce aqueous humour, the fluid that fills the front of the eye.

• Reduces fluid production: By inhibiting this enzyme, the medicine decreases the formation of bicarbonate ions, which are essential chemicals needed to produce aqueous humour (the clear fluid that fills the front part of your eye).

• Decreases eye pressure: With less fluid being produced inside your eye, the pressure within the eye (intraocular pressure) is lowered, which helps protect the optic nerve from damage.

• Local action: The medicine works directly in the eye tissues after application, minimising the amount that enters your bloodstream and reducing the risk of body-wide side effects.

• Store DORSUN BAK FREE EYE DROPS 5ML below 25°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Avoid using after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Reduce caffeine intake from coffee, tea, and fizzy drinks, as these can temporarily increase eye pressure (intraocular pressure).

• Practise the 20-20-20 rule when using digital screens: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce eye strain.
