Dortas Eye Drops 5 Ml is used to lower elevated eye pressure.

Uses of Dortas Eye Drops 5 Ml are:

• Open-angle Glaucoma: Helps lower increased eye pressure and prevent optic nerve damage.
• Ocular Hypertension: Helps manage elevated pressure inside the eye.

Administer Dortas Eye Drops as suggested below:

• Always wash your hands thoroughly before using the eye drops.
• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Introduce one drop into the affected eye(s) while avoiding touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye itself, to avoid contamination.
• After instilling the drop, gently close your eyes and lightly press on the inner corner of your eye (near your nose) for about 1-2 minutes to reduce systemic absorption.
• In case you're using other topical ophthalmic medications concurrently, ensure you wait at least 10 minutes between each medication.

Dortas Eye Drops contains two active ingredients:

• Dorzolamide (2%): As a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, dorzolamide works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour, which is the clear fluid that fills the anterior chamber of the eye. By reducing the amount of this fluid, dorzolamide effectively lowers the intraocular pressure.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): As a preservative in Dortas Eye Drops, benzalkonium chloride aids in preventing bacterial contamination of the solution with its antimicrobial properties. This ensures the solution remains safe and effective for use.

• Store Dortas Eye Drops at room temperature.
• Protect the medicine from light and keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Keep Dortas Eye Drops out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
