CompositionDonamem Forte Tablet is used to manage moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease, a condition that affects memory, thinking and behaviour. It is a combination medicine containing donepezil (a cholinesterase inhibitor) and memantine (an NMDA receptor antagonist).
It helps improve cognitive function and may help slow the progression of symptoms. Take it by mouth, preferably before bedtime, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. It may take some weeks to see improvement, so continue it even if changes are not immediately noticeable.
Keep your mind active with puzzles, reading or memory games, follow a regular routine and eat a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables, fruit and nuts.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, asthma or bleeding disorders and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report severe dizziness, unusual drowsiness or worsening confusion to your doctor promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
