CompositionDeplatt Tablet is used to prevent blood clots in adults who have had a heart attack or stroke, or who have peripheral arterial disease. It is a single-ingredient antiplatelet medicine containing clopidogrel.
It helps keep blood flowing smoothly through the blood vessels and gives long-term protection against clot-related events. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when you feel well, and do not stop it suddenly.
Take care to avoid cuts and injuries, as bleeding may take longer to stop. Eating less fried food, staying active and avoiding smoking also help.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have active bleeding such as a stomach ulcer, liver disease or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor or dentist before any medical or dental procedure, as this medicine raises the risk of bleeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
