Cyblex M 40 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly when diet, exercise or treatment with a single medicine does not provide adequate blood sugar control.
It combines gliclazide, a sulfonylurea that increases insulin release from the pancreas, and metformin, a biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Take the tablet as prescribed, with a meal. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can cause your blood sugar to rise.
Following a controlled-carbohydrate diet, regular exercise and consistent meal timing help reduce the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) with this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, before starting. Report symptoms of low blood sugar, such as sweating, shakiness or confusion, and any unusual skin reactions, to your doctor promptly.
