Semi Reclimet Tablet 10

Semi Reclimet Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't split, crush, or chew the tablet.

• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with your regular schedule.

• Never take a double dose to make up for a forgotten one.

• Consult your doctor for any further queries or instructions regarding the use of this medicine.

Semi Reclimet Tablet is taken orally.

Semi Reclimet Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Gliclazide (40 mg): As part of the sulfonylurea class, gliclazide works by binding to receptors on the beta cells in your pancreas. This closes channels that usually allow potassium to enter these cells, which in turn causes these cells to release insulin into your bloodstream. Gliclazide also aids in increasing the uptake of glucose in tissues and reducing glucose production in the liver.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin contributes to managing diabetes by decreasing glucose production in your liver and reducing how much glucose your intestines absorb from food. It also improves how effectively your body uses insulin, which helps your body regulate blood sugar levels more effectively. Unlike gliclazide, metformin doesn't increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in people with type 2 diabetes or those without diabetes.
