Semi Reclimet Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when diet, exercise, and one medicine alone are not enough to control blood sugar. Better blood sugar control helps reduce the risk of long-term complications.
It contains gliclazide and metformin, which lower blood sugar in two different ways. Take it with food as prescribed to reduce the chance of stomach upset and help reduce the risk of low blood sugar associated with gliclazide. Do not skip meals.
Diet and lifestyle remain central to managing type 2 diabetes. Regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate intake, staying active, and maintaining a healthy weight all help keep blood sugar under control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or drink alcohol regularly. Because it contains gliclazide, learn to recognise and treat low blood sugar. Tell your doctor if you develop severe muscle pain, difficulty breathing, or feel very unwell, as these can be signs of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis (a build-up of lactic acid in the blood). Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
