Amiodar-200 Tablet is used to manage serious, life-threatening heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) in adults.
It contains amiodarone, a class III antiarrhythmic medicine that helps restore and maintain a normal heart rhythm in conditions such as ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice.
Regular blood tests to check your thyroid, liver and lung function, along with eye examinations, are an important part of monitoring while you are on this medicine, as your doctor will advise.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any thyroid, lung or liver problems, or other medicines you are taking. Use sun protection, as this medicine can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Contact your doctor promptly if you develop breathlessness, a persistent cough, unusual tiredness or vision changes. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
