Coldmine Syrup 60ml

Coldmine Syrup is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold, hay fever, and allergic rhinitis. It helps reduce nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, sinus pressure, and other allergy-related discomfort in children.

Give your child Coldmine Syrup as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.
• As with all medicines, always consult your doctor for specific advice on giving this medicine to your child.

Coldmine Syrup is given orally.

Coldmine Syrup comprises three active ingredients:

• Phenylephrine (5 mg): As an α1-adrenergic receptor agonist, phenylephrine binds to α1 receptors on vascular smooth muscle cells. This causes constriction of blood vessels in the nasal passages, thereby reducing swelling and relieving nasal congestion.
• Paracetamol/Acetaminophen (125 mg): This ingredient works by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the body. Prostaglandins are chemical messengers that cause inflammation, pain and fever.
• Cetirizine (5 mg): This ingredient acts as a selective H1-receptor antagonist. It binds to H1 receptors on cells throughout the body, preventing histamine from causing allergy symptoms like runny nose and sneezing.

• Store Coldmine Syrup at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Keep the bottle in a dry, dark place to protect it from light and moisture.
• Don't refrigerate or freeze the syrup.
• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• To help manage your child's cold symptoms, ensure they drink plenty of fluids. This can include water, juice, or warm broths to help soothe a sore throat and prevent dehydration.
• If your child has allergies leading to symptoms like runny nose or sneezing, try to identify and avoid the allergens. Allergens could be dust, pet dander, or certain foods. Regularly cleaning your home can help reduce allergens.
