Clavix As 150 Tablet 15 is used for the following:

• Preventing heart attacks in individuals with a history of heart disease
• Lowering the risk of stroke in patients
• Decreasing the risk of severe heart and blood vessel complications in individuals experiencing new or worsening chest pain (known as acute coronary syndrome) when used in combination with aspirin
• Keeping blood vessels open and preventing blood clots following certain procedures such as cardiac stent placement

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid splitting, crushing, or chewing the tablet.
• Don't exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Clavix As 150 Tablet 15 comprises two active ingredients:

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): It is metabolised by CYP450 enzymes in your liver to become active. The active metabolite selectively and irreversibly inhibits the P2Y12 component of ADP receptors on platelets. Consequently, it stops platelet activation and their ability to bind together to form clots.
• Aspirin (150 mg): It stops cyclooxygenase, reducing the production of prostaglandins that are known to promote inflammation and blood clotting. As a result, platelets become less sticky, and the likelihood of clot formation decreases.
