Clarinova-500 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, and ear infections. It is also prescribed for certain skin infections. This antibiotic works by inhibiting bacterial growth, and completing the full course helps prevent recurrence of infection.

To use Clarinova-500 Tablet correctly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking the tablet.
• Take the medicine ideally one hour before or two hours after a meal.
• Maintain regular intervals between each dose to ensure effective management of the infection.
• Always complete the full course of medication, even if you start feeling better midway, to prevent the recurrence of infection and avoid antibiotic resistance.

Clarinova-500 Tablet contains clarithromycin (500 mg) that works on your body as follows:

• Binds to 50S ribosomal subunit: Clarithromycin attaches itself to a part of bacteria known as the 50S ribosomal subunit. This subunit is responsible for protein production within the bacteria.
• Inhibits protein synthesis: By binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, clarithromycin disrupts the process of protein synthesis within the bacteria. These proteins are crucial for bacterial growth and survival.
• Stops bacterial proliferation: With protein synthesis disrupted, bacteria cannot grow or multiply. This gives your body's immune system an upper hand in eliminating the infection.

• Store your Clarinova-500 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
• Be sure to use the medicine before its expiration date.

• If you are suffering from respiratory tract infections like pneumonia and bronchitis, avoid exposing yourself to pollution and dust. Wear a mask when you step out in crowded or dusty places.
• In case of infections caused by Helicobacter pylori, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease, consider a bland diet that includes foods that don't irritate the stomach lining. Avoid spicy, fatty, or fried foods.
