CompositionCiplar-40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, angina (chest pain) and irregular heart rhythms. It also helps with the physical symptoms of anxiety, an overactive thyroid and certain other heart conditions.
It contains propranolol, a beta-blocker. It works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the force of the heartbeat, which lowers blood pressure.
Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sharp rise in heart rate or blood pressure.
Tell your doctor about any asthma or breathing problems, low blood pressure or heart problems before use. Report cold hands and feet, a very slow pulse or marked breathlessness.
