CompositionCiplar-40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure. It is a single-ingredient beta-blocker containing propranolol.
It is also used for angina (chest pain), irregular heart rhythms, the physical symptoms of anxiety and an overactive thyroid. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sharp rise in heart rate or blood pressure.
Limit salt, including pickles, papad and packaged snacks, cut down on tea, coffee and alcohol, and stay physically active as your doctor advises.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma or other breathing problems, low blood pressure or heart problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report cold hands and feet, a very slow pulse or marked breathlessness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
