Cipdapla M 5/1000 Tablet 10 is used in the following conditions: 

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate control of blood sugar levels
• Reducing the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and established heart disease or multiple risk factors for heart disease

You should take Cipdapla M 5/1000 Tablet 10 in the following way: 

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing, or splitting the tablet.
• Do not exceed the dose recommended by your doctor.
• Always consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication.

Cipdapla M 5/1000 Tablet 10 is taken orally. 

Cipdapla M 5/1000 Tablet 10 contains the following components:

• Dapagliflozin (5 mg): Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys and lowers the kidney threshold for glucose. This results in increased glucose excretion through urine, effectively reducing blood sugar levels.
• Metformin (1000 mg): Metformin works by decreasing glucose production in the liver and reducing glucose absorption in the intestines. Additionally, it enhances insulin sensitivity, promoting better glucose uptake and utilisation in peripheral tissues, ultimately lowering blood sugar levels.

The storage instructions for Cipdapla M 5/1000 Tablet 10 are as follows:

• Store this tablet at room temperature, around 30°C, and protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not use this medication once it has passed its expiry date.
