Ceflox 250 Tablet 10 is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, including those affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal system, bones and joints. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ciprofloxacin, and belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones.
This medicine works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes needed for DNA replication and repair, which stops the bacteria from multiplying and helps clear the infection. Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better before it is finished.
Drink plenty of fluids during the course of treatment to stay hydrated, particularly if you have a fever or diarrhoea.
Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. Limit your alcohol consumption while taking this medicine, as it may worsen side effects such as dizziness. Report any unusual muscle or tendon pain to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
