Carbatol Cr 400 Mg Tablet 10 is used to manage epilepsy and control various types of seizures in adults. It also helps ease the severe facial pain of trigeminal neuralgia and the throat and ear pain of glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
It contains carbamazepine, an anticonvulsant (antiepileptic) medicine, in a controlled-release form. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it, as this can affect how the medicine works. Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can bring back seizures.
Keeping to a regular sleep pattern, avoiding alcohol, and never missing a dose can help keep seizures under control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart disease, liver or kidney problems, or blood disorders, and whether you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Report any skin rash, unusual bruising or bleeding, or mood changes to your doctor promptly.
