Cafta Eye Drops 5ml

Cafta Eye Drops provide relief from eye itching caused by allergic conjunctivitis, and may help reduce irritation and discomfort in the eyes.

• Cafta Eye Drops are meant for topical ophthalmic use only.
• Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
• Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid until there is a small pocket. 
• Turn the bottle upside down and gently squeeze it to release 1 or 2 drops into the eye. Let go of the lower lid and close your eyes for 30 seconds. Repeat the same for the other eye if it also needs treatment.
• If a drop misses your eye, try again. 
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper to avoid contamination. 
• If you use more than one eye drop, wait 5-10 minutes between their application. 
• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the eye drops.

Cafta Eye Drops contain the following components:

• Alcaftadine (2.5 mg): It is an H1 histamine receptor antagonist. It inhibits the release of histamine, a chemical that plays a key role in allergic reactions. This helps reduce itching, redness, and discomfort in the eyes associated with allergies.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Keep Cafta Eye Drop away from children.
• Use these drops within a month after opening the vial.

• Identify and minimise your exposure to allergens that trigger your seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Keep windows closed during high pollen seasons, use air purifiers, and avoid outdoor activities during peak pollen times.
• When outdoors, wear wrap-around sunglasses to help protect your eyes from allergens and reduce irritation.
• Wash your hands regularly to remove pollen and allergens that can be transferred to your eyes from your hands.
• Refrain from rubbing your eyes, which can worsen irritation and introduce more allergens.
• If you wear lenses, you may reinsert them after 10 minutes following administration of these drops.
• Do not wear contact lenses if your eye is persistently red.
