Cadiquis 2.5 Tablet 10 is an anticoagulant, commonly referred to as a "blood thinner," primarily used to prevent the formation of blood clots. It is specifically indicated for patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism. By inhibiting specific clotting factors in the blood, it helps maintain smoother circulation and reduces the risk of clot-related complications.
In addition to cardiovascular protection, this medication is prescribed for patients who have recently undergone elective hip or knee replacement surgeries. During the recovery period, it helps lower the risk of developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the legs or a pulmonary embolism (PE) in the lungs. To ensure safety, inform your doctor of any upcoming dental or surgical procedures, as well as any history of bleeding disorders, before starting this treatment.
