Budecort 400 Rotacaps are used for the long-term maintenance treatment and prevention of asthma symptoms, including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathlessness. They help keep the airways open over time but are not intended for immediate relief during a sudden attack.
It contains budesonide (400 mcg), an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces persistent swelling in the lung airways. Inhale the contents using a dry powder inhaler device as prescribed. Always rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out after each dose to reduce the risk of oral thrush.
Avoiding known asthma triggers (such as dust, pollen, tobacco smoke, and cold air) and keeping an up-to-date asthma action plan support respiratory health alongside this medicine.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, viral or fungal chest infections, or high blood pressure. Always keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler available for sudden breathlessness. Tell your doctor if you develop a white patch in your mouth or persistent throat soreness.
