Budamate Forte Transcap is used for the regular management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults and children over 6 years. It helps control and prevent symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath and chest tightness, and contains a combination of a corticosteroid and a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) bronchodilator.
This medicine comes as a capsule containing powder for inhalation and should be used with the specific inhalation device provided, exactly as prescribed. It is not meant for the relief of sudden breathlessness. Take it regularly as prescribed and continue treatment even when you feel well, as this helps prevent symptom flare-ups.
Practising correct inhaler technique, rinsing your mouth with water after each use to reduce the risk of oral thrush, avoiding known triggers such as smoke and dust, and keeping to a written asthma or COPD action plan support your respiratory health alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any history of tuberculosis, chest infections, heart problems or diabetes before starting. Report worsening breathlessness after use, mouth or throat irritation, or a fast or irregular heartbeat.
