Brinzotim Eye Drops 5ml

Brinzotim Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Managing elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma: This is a type of glaucoma in which the angle between the iris and cornea, where fluid drains from the eye, is wide and open.

• Controlling high eye pressure in individuals diagnosed with ocular hypertension: Here, the pressure inside your eyes — intraocular pressure — is higher than normal levels but without any detectable damage to the optic nerve or vision loss.

To correctly use Brinzotim Eye Drops, follow these steps:

• Always wash your hands before handling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above your eye and squeeze out a drop.

• Close your eye gently and press your finger to the inside corner of your eye for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct.

• If you're using more than one type of eye medication, leave at least 5 minutes between each dose. This prevents the previous dose from being diluted or washed away.

Brinzotim Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Brinzotim Eye Drops are a combination of two active ingredients:

• Brinzolamide (10 mg): As a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, brinzolamide reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humour) produced in your eyes. This action results in a decrease in IOP.

• Timolol (5 mg): This non-selective beta-blocker works by reducing the production of aqueous humour and possibly enhancing its outflow from the eyes, which ultimately lowers IOP.

  This combined action of both ingredients effectively helps manage elevated IOP and prevents potential vision loss due to conditions like open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The preservation of these eye drops is ensured by benzalkonium chloride (0.01 %), which has antimicrobial properties.

• Keep Brinzotim Eye Drops at a temperature below 30°C.

• Shield the product from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure the container remains tightly shut when not in use.

• Keep the product out of reach of children for their safety.

• Try to maintain a balanced diet rich in antioxidants. Foods like carrots, spinach, kale, and oranges may help keep your eyes healthy.

• Regular eye exercises can help manage intraocular pressure. Simple exercises such as blinking your eyes rapidly or rolling your eyes can be beneficial. Always remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
