Brimopress Ls Eye Drops 5ml are used for the following:

• Treatment of open-angle glaucoma

• Management of ocular hypertension

• Prevention of progressive vision loss

• Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure

• Protection of optic nerve from pressure damage

• Long-term management of chronic eye pressure conditions

Follow these instructions while using Brimopress Ls Eye Drops 5ml:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instiling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the bottle above your eye without touching any part of your eye.

• Squeeze the drop into the pocket formed by your lower eyelid.

• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes after instilation.

• Press your finger against the inner corner of your eye to prevent drainage.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before instiling any other eye medicines.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

Brimopress Ls Eye Drops 5ml are instiled topically.

Brimopress Ls Eye Drops 5ml contain brimonidine (0.1%) which works in the following ways:

• Decreases aqueous humour production: Brimonidine activates specific receptors called alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in your eye, which reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humour) produced by the ciliary body within your eye.

• Increases aqueous humour outflow: The medicine enhances the drainage of fluid from your eye through what doctors call the uveoscleral pathway, which is one of the natural drainage channels of the eye.

• Lowers intraocular pressure: Through both reducing fluid production and improving drainage, brimonidine effectively decreases the pressure inside your eye, helping to protect your optic nerve from damage.

• Store Brimopress Ls Eye Drops 5ml below 30°C at room temperature.

• Keep the bottle protected from light and moisture.

• Ensure the bottle remains tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Discard any unused solution 4 weeks after opening the bottle.

• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the package.

• Regular eye check-ups: If you have open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eye), schedule comprehensive eye examinations every 3-6 months to monitor your intraocular pressure.

• Avoid caffeine: Reducing your intake of coffee, tea, and caffeinated drinks may help manage intraocular pressure, which is important when you have glaucoma or eye hypertension.
