Avil Injection is used to provide fast relief from acute allergic reactions, easing symptoms such as itching, swelling and redness across a range of allergic conditions.

Uses of Avil Injection are:

• Allergic Rhinitis and Hay Fever: Relieves sneezing, a runny nose and watery eyes caused by allergies.

• Urticaria (Hives) and Skin Allergy: Reduces itching, swelling and redness of the skin.

• Insect Bites and Allergic Conjunctivitis: Eases itching and irritation caused by insect bites or stings and allergic eye symptoms.

• The dosage and frequency of Avil injection will depend on the patient's age, weight, medical history, and the condition being treated.
• The medication should be administered slowly, and the patient should be monitored closely for adverse reactions during and after administration.

The Avil injection can be administered through the intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) route. 

Avil Injection contains the following active ingredient:

• Pheniramine Maleate (22.75 mg/ml): It is a first-generation antihistamine that works by blocking histamine H1 receptors. Histamine is a chemical released by the body during allergic reactions that causes itching, redness, swelling and other allergic symptoms. By blocking the action of histamine at these receptors, pheniramine reduces histamine-mediated allergic responses. It can also enter the brain and block central H1 receptors, which may cause sedation. Additionally, it has mild anticholinergic activity, meaning it can block certain actions of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger involved in nerve signalling.

• Avil injection should be stored at room temperature (15-30°C), away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
• Keep Avil injection out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion.
• Do not use Avil injection after the expiry date printed on the packaging. Expired medication may not be effective and can even be harmful.
• Always dispose of unused or expired medication as per the proper disposal guidelines to avoid any environmental harm.

• If you have allergies or asthma, avoid consuming foods such as dairy products, wheat, shellfish, nuts, and soy which can trigger symptoms.
• Keep your body hydrated to reduce inflammation and promote healthy respiratory function.
• If you smoke, quitting is the best action for your health.
• Avoid triggers such as dust, mites, pet dander, and pollen. Use face masks and air filters for the same.
• Have a well-balanced meal rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein to support your immunity and reduce the risk of inflammation.
