Asklerol 3% Injection 2ml is used to treat small surface veins in the legs, such as spider veins and reticular varicose veins. It is a single-ingredient sclerosing agent containing polidocanol.
It improves the appearance of the treated veins and eases aching, heaviness and swelling. It is given as an injection by a trained doctor or nurse in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. More than one session may be needed, with follow-up visits as advised.
Follow your doctor's advice on walking regularly and wearing compression stockings after treatment, and avoid standing still for long periods.
Before it is given, tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, asthma, artery disease or allergies and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report calf pain or swelling, breathlessness or a severe reaction after treatment. Follow the prescribed treatment plan, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not end treatment unless your doctor advises you to do so.
