Arkamin H 100/20 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults when a single medicine does not adequately control it. It is a combination medicine containing clonidine and hydrochlorothiazide, and belongs to the class of antihypertensive medicines.

This medicine combines clonidine, which acts centrally to relax blood vessels and slow the heart rate, with hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic that removes excess water and salt from the body, together lowering blood pressure more effectively. Take this tablet with meals if preferred, in the dose and frequency prescribed by your doctor.

This medicine increases urine output, so it is best taken earlier in the day to avoid disrupting your sleep with nighttime urination.

Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. This medicine may cause drowsiness and dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
