Perlice Rinse Cream is a topical antiparasitic medicine used to treat and clear head lice infestations. It works quickly to eliminate lice and their eggs (nits) from the scalp and hair, providing rapid relief from severe itching, scalp irritation, and crawling sensations.
It contains permethrin, which belongs to a class of drugs called pyrethrins. It acts as a neurotoxin that disrupts the nervous system of the parasites, causing muscular paralysis and death in both adult lice and developing nits. It must be applied thoroughly to washed, towel-dried hair and scalp as directed.
To prevent reinfestation and clear all remnants, use a fine-toothed nit comb to remove dead lice and eggs after rinsing the cream. Wash all recently used bedding, clothing, hats, and towels in hot water, soak combs and brushes in hot water for ten minutes, and check all family members carefully.
Before application, inform your doctor if you have a history of severe skin allergies, ragweed hypersensitivity, or open scalp wounds. It is intended for external use on the scalp only; keep it completely away from your eyes, nose, and mouth. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
