Angistat 2.5 Capsule TR is used for the continuous long-term prevention of chest pain associated with angina pectoris.

Uses of Angistat 2.5 Capsule TR are:

• Angina Prevention: Decreases the frequency of recurring chest pain episodes.
• Vascular Dilatation Support: Expands blood vessels, improving blood flow to the heart.
• Cardiac Workload Reduction: Lowers the workload of the heart.

Here are instructions for taking Angistat 2.5 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, do not chew or crush it.

• Take the capsule as soon as you feel an angina attack coming on or before activities that could trigger an attack.

• Seek immediate medical attention if your chest pain continues even after taking the recommended dose.

Angistat 2.5 Capsule is taken orally.

Angistat 2.5 Capsule contains Glyceryl Trinitrate / Nitroglycerin (2.5 Mg), which exerts its effects in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Nitric Oxide Donor: The glyceryl trinitrate acts as a nitric oxide donor, releasing nitric oxide into your body.

• Activation of Guanylate Cyclase: The released nitric oxide activates an enzyme called guanylate cyclase, which increases the production of another substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).

• Vasodilation: Elevated levels of cGMP cause relaxation of your blood vessel walls, leading to widening of veins and arteries, a process known as vasodilation.

• Reduced Heart Workload: The resulting vasodilation reduces the workload on your heart and improves blood flow to your heart muscle, effectively managing symptoms of angina pectoris.

• Store Angistat 2.5 Capsule at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the container tightly closed to protect the capsules from moisture and light.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Check the expiry date on the pack, and make sure you use it before this date.
