Amoxil 250 DT Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, skin, and urinary tract. It is also a key component in triple therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori bacteria in patients with peptic ulcers. It contains amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic.
The dispersible (DT) formulation is designed for children or patients who have difficulty swallowing whole pills; the tablet can be dissolved in a small amount of water before consumption. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Completing the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early, helps ensure the infection clears completely and reduces the risk of resistance developing.
To ensure the infection does not return, the full course must be finished as prescribed. If a skin rash or breathing difficulty occurs after taking the dose, seek medical attention immediately.
